Now in its seventh year, the Camden Riversharks remain excited about the team's community program, Reading with the Riversharks. The program works with some of the Riversharks favorite fans... kids. The reading program has been a huge success with over 75,000 children and 200 schools and libraries involved in the Reading with the Riversharks program!
Reading with the Riversharks was created specifically for children from kindergarten through 12th grade with the purpose of encouraging reading and creativity. All children enrolled are given the opportunity to design the bookmarks that are distributed to participating schools, with the winning designs replicated and printed.
The Riversharks supply each student with a bookmark, which explains the program on the back. Each student is required to read five books outside of his/her assigned reading program requirements. Once a student completes this task, he/she must get signed approval. The completed bookmark is then good for ONE FREE Upper Box ticket for a designated Riversharks home game.

Riversharks Donation & Appearance Requests
The Camden Riversharks Community Relations Department manages all donation and player/mascot appearance requests for the Delaware Valley area.
Donation Requests
- Non-profit organizations are welcome to submit a request for donations.
- Requests must be submitted, in writing, on the organization's letterhead (stationery), allowing four weeks advance notice. (Submissions by standard mail or facsimile are acceptable.)
- The Riversharks reserve the right to limit donations to one per organization per calendar year. Please do not send multiple requests.
- The Riversharks' standard donation is a certificate redeemable for four (4) upper box tickets to a home game during the current season - subject to availability.
- Please be sure to include the name of your event, event date, requested date for receipt of our donation, the address to where the donation should be sent, plus a contact person's name and telephone number.
- Donations will be processed approximately two weeks prior to an event date and will be sent via regular mail service.
Appearance Requests
- Non-profit organizations are welcome to submit a request for player or mascot appearances at no charge. Appearances for personal or commercial purposes (e.g. grand openings or birthday parties) are subject to a $150 appearance fee.
Requests must be submitted, in writing, on your organization's letterhead (as applicable), allowing at least four weeks advance notice. (Submissions by standard mail or facsimile are acceptable.)
- The Riversharks reserve the right to limit appearances to one per organization per calendar year. Please limit multiple requests.
- Please be sure to include the name of your event, plus the event's date, time and location (street address), along with an event date point-of-contact person's name and telephone number (cellular phone number preferred). Please note: mascots will need to have access to a private dressing area at your event location.
- Appearances will be scheduled approximately ten days in advance, and are subject to change due to player and/or mascot availability.
- The Riversharks cannot guarantee any specific player or mascot for appearances.

National Anthem
The Camden Riversharks always welcome auditions via audio cassette, CD or VHS tape for those who would like to be considered to perform the National Anthem or God Bless America at Riversharks home games.
Live auditions are held at Campbell's Field each Spring. Please look for notice on our web-site for additional information regarding the date and time of our live auditions for 2005.
The Riversharks will contact those who are selected to perform. Recordings will not be returned so please send a copy and not your original.
