The Riversharks have sent seven players back to organized ball this season, including two pitchers and five position players.
Derrick Loop the most recent player to sign with an affiliated team has gotten off to a hot start down in Florida. Loop is pitching for the Clearwater Threshers, the advanced A team for the Philadelphia Phillies. In five appearances, he has a 1.08 ERA, throwing 8.1 innings and striking out 11.
Sam Narron signed with the Nashville Sounds, AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, at the beginning of June after throwing back to back complete game shutouts. He has had continued success at the AAA level, starting nine games with a 3.90 ERA. His control has been great, walking only 11 batters in 62.1 innings pitched.
Jason Botts, a former major leaguer with the Texas Rangers, is currently playing for the Syracuse Chiefs, AAA affiliate for the Washington Nationals. He is hitting .294 in 47 games with 7 HR, 24 R, and 35 RBI.
