Brett returns to the Riversharks for his second season. As a talented youngster growing up in San Jose, California, Brett’s talents were recognized by the Boston Red Sox in the 37th round of the 2000 amateur entry draft. Bonvechio is well traveled, having spent time in the Red Sox, Padres, and White Sox organizations. In 2007, he played for San Antonio of the Texas League, the San Diego Padres double A affiliate. While there he hit 9 home runs in 128 at-bats. He unquestionably is a tremendous power hitter, and he hopes to be hitting home runs in a major league ballpark in the near future. |
